The infernal Engine was used to power the Ghostbuster video games, and is a cross-platform engine. From the picture above one would think the Wii would get quality multiplats. Usually Wii versions of multiplat games either get the water-down treatment or it is handed off to an obscure developer.
A good example of this is the game War for Cybertron. The Wii version was nothing like the HD counterparts, it hid behind the "built from the ground up" slogan. There is nothing wrong with building a game from the ground up, but they usually end up being rail shooters or buggy unfinished games (see the Wii version of Wolverine).
Obviously the Infernal engine can't be used for every Wii multiplat but it does seem to be a good solution.

I hope more multiplats come to wii. Some I like on the HD consoles and some are just lousy. But I have no desire to buy another console because I love the ninty characters and love the ir controls for my shooting games. It's hard to go back to the old ways of the previous generations now.
ReplyDeleteThat star wars screen looks sharp and I wish more would use this tech for developments.

ReplyDeleteI can see your problem, but there are quite a few wii games that look impressive. If you have a wii there are some games you should check out.
